Leicester is pretty funny in and of itself. Unless you have to live there that is. I stopped at Markfield services for a poo once and got propositioned by a one toothed prostitute in the car park.

I say "prostitute" but she might have been the mayoress of the tatty fecking yard for all I know.

Very nice thanks. A satisfying splash that just gave a frisson to the butt cheeks. Well formed with the odd sweet corn kernel visible in the veneer.

9/10 overall.

And don't even get me started on Mendoza!!! Good grief!!

Just to be clear, I wasn't having a go at him, but on the basis that he- I think this is fair to say- has experienced his share of the media limelight in respect of Albion matters, it seems a little unfair that some individuals are mocking Liz for essentially doing exactly the same as he does- answering a question put to her by a journalist.

I don't agree with all that Liz says, and I don't agree with everything that Brett says, but I certainly don't lose any sleep over either of them being deemed the unofficial spokesman of the Albion fans. C'est la vie.

If you genuinely find her "embarrassing", might I suggest you develop a thicker skin? She's a nice lady, and anyone who's devoted as much time to the Albion as she has over many many years, has certainly earned my respect.

PS: I nonetheless reserve the right to chuckle at the "screaming for a policeman" line, but I'm sure even she'd find it funny now, seeing it in print :)

I think, if I'm honest, anybody who gives Costa a slagging is probably one of our "newer" fans.

Can I suggest to anyone who is a "newer" fan that they read Build A Bonfire, digest it and then come back on here and have the same opinion of her.

She certainly does not represent me or my views, she is not in any way the same type of supporter as I am but she has earned the right to have her say. If i was asked I'd just shrug my shoulders and say "don't care" she on the other hand does care.

Im not a newer fan (unless the mid 70s counts as newer?).

Ive read Build a bonfire, was at all of the protests mentioned in fact. Missed one game in two seasons at Gillingham if you must know.

Went to Kidderminster away around 2000/2001 and was invited into their social club bar by some of their staff.

The costa fun bus turned up fresh from eddie stobart spotting or whatever it is they get up to to fill in the time on their journeys. Into the bar they come. General Liz tells the barman that I shouldnt be in there because I am not in the supporters club and havent travelled on her bus. The barman tells her that the club is open to more than just her gang and her coach and that I and any others will be staying. In protest (I presume) she then proceeds to pull apart everything about the place; too much ice in her lemonade, too cold in the ladies, too noisy and generally be a pain in the helmet to all of the staff there for the duration of her stay.

And for that reason; I am out.

Lets be fair Mendoza is a bit of a media whore, and the general impression I get from him is that he thinks he's Albion's number 1 fan and that his opinion is the right opinion! Personally not into parading around like the big I am, and that's what I get from him! Sorry that's just my opinion and the same for Liz Costa.... My Pompey supporting mate feels the same way about John Westwood!
