Well it's crystal clear. it's sh1t or bust on Monday, the fans have to make the most noise ever and we have to pick a team who are up for it.

I want KLL to start with Bong behind him, and on the evidence of the last 3 matches alone neither Wilson nor Baldock deserve a start.

Not having Dunk and Stephens tonight was huge.

And I wasn't that impressed with Wednesday either.

so that will be a 4-6 -0 formation then cos we don't have any other strikers now and we will struggle to find 6 in midfield

Thought we finished that with a determined confidence we can get 2 goals at home. Thought Towell did well considering, the work rate from most of the team was incredible. Could have easily buckled but they believe they can do this, and I think we should too. Seriously, I think we can make history Monday. #believe

I'd rather have lost due to terrible decisions so at least you can vent your anger towards someone but with 4 injuries what can you do.

Truly staggering. It will be interesting to see how the media cover it.Will they recognise our terrible luck or just report how Shef beat us.

Yes we started badly with 11 men however we've all seen how games change and that includes when we turned it on at Boro.

2-0 all things considered has to be taken.Amex here we come.

I'm quite the opposite. When you get a result like this you can shrug your shoulders and say that there was nothing more that could be done. And there wasn't.

We haven't blown anything. It's just rotten luck.

0-2 almost guarantees we will come out of the blocks on Monday.Far more than had it been 1-1.It's our cup final.A one off game.I def think we will be up for it.

We've lost 6 games all season. 5 of them have been when we have been decimated by injuries.

Proud of this team. 1st team Beaten once by being outplayed.

Agreed -strolled around the pitch

That's the problem with some loaners, not bothered. Next Tuesday he will fly to Dubai or Vegas with his Manure mates, before training under Mourinho come July. No bond with the Albion. He'll want to avoid injury at this stage of the season.

Get an early goal on Monday and it will be so different.

Greetings from afar (Derby fan). You've been incredibly resilient all season with people continually writing you off and you always proving them wrong.

I thought you were going to hold it at 1-0, but in the injury circumstances it could have been a lot worse than 2-0 and the Wendies may regret that they didn't try to kill off the tie completely. You have Dunk back on Monday and isn't Stephens only a one match ban? As Leekbrook says, score an early goal and imagine the atmosphere. Some players will be out but that's when others can step up and seize their opportunity.

All these games are played over 180+ minutes, it's only half-time and you now have chance to regroup.

Well I'm going to be in the minority here but I was very proud of that performance. We have been ****ed over in so many ways you couldn't have blamed the players for giving up, like most of our fans appear to have done,

Bring on Monday and the makeshift Albion

You're not the only one some of the negative comments on here are farcical I agree we were not great but Lady Luck was really against us. That is as good as Wednesday have played all season they will not attack like that on Monday.

Now anyone up for a game on Monday we need a couple of players to fill the bench?

It's not just Brighton who need to be up for Monday,it's the Amex also. There has to be a serious amount of noise generated by the crowd.

Surely Bobby can drag himself round the pitch on Monday? Likely to be his last professional game so worth a place on the bench if he can walk!

The dull part of the south coast
3-0 it would be over.

2-0 I still feel positive.

Although Wednesday have a massive advantage going into the second leg 2-0 up, they'll be disappointed that they didn't put the tie to bed already. As for us, it could have been so much worse but it wasn't. We can come back from 2-0 down but it will be tough and we'll need to score early. Monday night beckons and every Albion fan has to get behind the team - they deserve it.

We have one thing in our favour. They really ain't very good. Get an early goal and it is possible...

How arrogant is that. Brighton were awful, and the stats qualify that:

Possession: Home 63% Away 37%

Shots: Home16 Away7

Shots on Target: Home 4 Away 1

Were there any bha fans there?

Thanks for the kind words, SpaceRam. Unfortunately, Stephens is banned for 3 games, and now we're likely to be stretched very thin for Monday.

Desperately unlucky with injuries tonight , but Hughton will help us regroup and prepare us as best he can. We've still got a lot of quality in the remaining squad, but injuries to about 7 key players is going to hurt any team.
