Surprised by the outcry here. After the surge in fakes in the last 12 months I'm surprised there hasn't been more clamping down on it.
Thanks for explaining that so briefly PBFor an £65 Albion shirt it works out along the followino lines
VAT £11
Production cost £12
Licencing £5 (to club)
Retailer £16
Manufacturer profit £16
Marketing £3
Distribution £2
Nope, OP is repeating a statement from the club. It is so absurd that embellishment is unnecessary.Nice sensationalist headline by the OP. A complete non story. I'll wager not a single person will be "kicked out". There might be a few quiet words re "next time" but come on you think the club will turf out little kids at the actual game ? OP is fishing.
Coming next 'if you are wearing previous year's kit, or have ex-players' names on the back you may be asked to leave....'You only get a seasons wear out of a home kit or the Euro kit so I don't see what difference it makes.
That said, he wore it on his Park run this morning so it will definitely have more sweat on it than one worn by the man himself.
Cheeky scamp xThanks for explaining that so briefly PB
It’s what the kit brand (can’t say which one) paid the manufacutter to whom it outsourced production£10-£12 to make a shirt sounds a lot. Surprised by that. Did they get the contract?

But manafacutter goes without censure! It's not to whom. When it's relating to Sheffield Wednesday, twit, to who
Gotta love getting on the beers early on a Saturday. I'll get my coat.
I bet you are fun at partiesIt's what the Uyghur children imprisoned in Chinese sweatshops would want, fella. Keeps them in bowls of gruel, and better they get rewarded than the South-East Asian orphans working 12 hour shifts for Nike eh? You'd object to the obscene prices of the genuine shirts if any of it was ethically made, but the fact that it isn't just beggars belief, the profit margins. What would they be charging if these genuine Nike shirts were made ethically, £250 per shirt? The sooner we stop supporting the whole industry the better, but easier to turn a blind eye seemingly.
Are we not paid a handsome sum from Nike to wear their shirts? Perhaps that should come into the equation. For an £65 Albion shirt it works out along the followino lines
VAT £11
Production cost £12
Licencing £5 (to club)

The manufacturers lose money on the big contracts, adidas pay Manchester United £90m a year plus the above splitAre we not paid a handsome sum from Nike to wear their shirts? Perhaps that should come into the equation.
brilliant' I'm too MASSIVE for my shirt , too MASSIVE for my shirt, so MASSIVE it hurts '
Sorry, I almost replicated your post without looking - massive apologies.brilliant
Edit. I was asking if you knew the Albion margin, and you answered it soon after your post. Around £15. Thanks @El PresidenteDid some work for one of the kit manufacturers who was pitching for a club contract. Cost of producing an adult shirt £10-12. Then everyone, including the government with VAT, takes a slice.
The Albion effectively charge more for kids kits (£55. No VAT) than for adults (£65, which is £54.16 + VAT).
