Any want to have a stab at what our perplexing Manager will pick as the team today?

?
El Abd, Butters, McShane, ?
Hart, Hammond, Carpenter, ?, Frutos
Carole

Bascially a 4-6-0 formation.

I don't think the United fans have much of a clue with the United side either. That's Warnock for you!

3 strikers on the bench!

But none actually on the pitch.

This is a very cunning plan. What was Baldrick's favourite vegetable?

I put this on the UK Football forum:

http://www.ukfootballforums.co.uk/

Brighton visit Bramall Lane and Warnock's Sheffield United.

Not much to say about Sheffield United. Brighton have played them mostly in the second tier of the Football league, but as Brighton have been mostly in the third tier the meetings have not been all that many.

The most memorable was for the wrong reasons being 2-0 up at Withdean at half-time and losing 2-4.

Warnock has got the better of Brighton on most occasions when it is important, notably with Notts County in a Division One play-off final. Warnock seems to reserve his best for Brighton.

He got done at home last season when Gary Hart (being playing right back this season) made the winning goal in the last minute releasing a pass from the centre circle.

Sheffield United won easily (as did Reading) at Withdean earlier this season.

I first saw Sheffield United in 1977, this time at the Goldstone in the old Division 2, and if I remember rightly Brighton won 2-0 with two Peter Ward goals before a 21,000 below average crowd at the time.

Games with Sheffield Wednesday have always been much bigger, more likely because Wednesday had one of their many falls to lower divisions when both Brighton and Wednesday were the big teams against minnows.
