I remember being stood in the gangway and going flying down them when everyone's favourite Leon Knight bagged very late on to win 1-2 15 or so years ago up there. Great day

So (4 disabled tickets aside) it's a sell out.

A better away turnout than when we played SUFC in the Championship when you could just turn up and get a ticket.

E.g. 2005 when Leon Knight (he's a ****) scored in the last minute and we won 2-1. I went with the Mrs and four mates. Or 2003 when we were completely shite except for Sir Bobby who was superb, but he got injured and we lost 2-1. I went with three mates. POTG not an issue.

As I said earlier in the thread. I used to do the same at Leeds, Huddersfield, Wedslol, Forest etc when we were L1 or Championship.

So can people stop moaning about our away support being crap and how it was so much better in the Championship and how "games like this would have sold out"* Because it's bollocks.

Thank you.

*Yes I realise this is too much to ask

Suggestions please for decent pubs between the train station and Bramall lane.

Group of 7 of us.

TBF it's no distance from the station to the ground and there's not much in between except the ring road.

Not many options if you don't want to go into town.

Sheffield Tap on the station platform is decent

Well I got some tickets and my son is MADE up.

Now we just need to beat the Northern MONKEYS so that we can get some bragging rights BACK (especially after the Wednesday:lolol: CUP fiasco). :albion2:

Looks like a good turnout and, as others have said, the boozers this side of the City are proper.

If you get here early then bus / cab it down from the station to The Broadfield on Abbeydale road. From there it's about 15 mins walk to the Lane and there are LOADS of decent pubs in between (nearby and on Chesterfield Rd). Mostly away friendly (if you're in small groups etc) apart from the old skool shitholes on London Rd. Or go the other way and have a few down Kelham Island before heading back through town. Or there's Ecclesall Road which has a load of decent pubs and bars.........

If there are a load of you then the Howard opposite the station and the Rutland round the corner have always been away friendly. Plus there's a MASSIVE spoons (Sheaf Island) bottom of Eccy Rd, five minutes from the ground.

UTA.

Thanks for that.
