Sporting Fingal[edit]

Williams won the 2010 Players Football Association of Ireland (PFAI) Young Player of the Year award as voted by his peers in the Airtricity League.[1] His season for Fingal, during which he represented the Ireland Under-23s and the League of Ireland XI against Manchester United, drew acclaim for his fellow players who chose him above a competitive field of nominees.[citation needed]

As captain of Sporting Fingal, Williams was part of Liam Buckley’s side which finished fourth in their first foray into the Premier Division to repeat their Europa League qualification feat of twelve months prior. The Malahide native was the only player in the league to be nominated for both the Senior and Young player categories.[citation needed]

Milton Keynes Dons[edit]

On 16 March 2011, Williams signed for MK Dons. Despite making his name as an attacking midfielder, he has played primarily as a centre half for MK Dons, due to injuries and a small squad. At the end of the 2012/13 campaign, Williams was crowned the MK Dons Player of the Year and the Players’ Player of the Year.[citation needed]

No brainer then, he'll chose us, right up to the point where Reading/QPR/Forest/Bournemouth come in with bigger money offers.

I know said in jest, but we (AFCB) won't be in for him. O'Kane does that for us, and prem and other Champo clubs sniffing round him now.

Would have thought he'll chose you over Wall tho?

So we're near a 2013 player of the year, reaching his prime, can cover both Crofts, Bridcutt, and CB, knows where the goal is, and people aren't excited? Sweet jebus.

I'd be happy with this, looks like good cover for Ince should Bridcutt leave at least.

Or is he an attacking midfielder?
