I know what you mean, I just meant it is shit to watch.
Indeed, they make Bolton look like Barcelona.

Boothroyd is the new Dave Basset.

Did you get that from the Guardian? Swear that was in one of their columns this morning.

Good luck to the guy. Maybe now they are in the Prem they will change their style, sometimes direct football is more effective in the championship.

In any case, he has done an amazing job to get them promoted, and some of his ideas are pretty impressive.

I don't see them like that at all. He took a group of players no-one else really rated or wanted, and organised them into a side that far from being relegation fodder, took many teams apart, and got promoted.

When Adams did that with us, he was a legendary manager, but for some reason, everyone is labelling Watford as the next Wimbledon, and I can't see it.

I've seen them a few times and it wasn't lumped aimlessly long at all. The set-pieces are very well rehearsed, but why not. I wish we had a fraction of that organisation taking England training sessions right now.

Boring? I bet it's not if you are a Watford fan!

Maybe. :lolol:

It's what I've thought since we played them at Vicarige Road this season though.
No doubting the job he's done, but that doesn't make them a good team to watch.

They play the game in a nasty manner, relying on physichality, long balls, and set pieces. They are also shameless timewasters, or as Boothroyd calls it "managing the game". :shootself

Fair enough. :lolol:

Sounds like Boothroyd will become Sam Allardyce with better PR then. :lolol:
