I just like the fact he played with a bloke called Connor Kenna. That's a great name.

Considering he is under 24 and he is actually signing for us, surely that means on the off chance (neigh, good chance) we don't get to keep him next season, we will get some compo for him? Being an U21 must make him worth something, at least 6 figures (assuming he does well in the next few months).

He's only signing for 4 months, surely that means he has other avenues to explore in the summer (see MYOBs comment).

What a joke that is....how can you sign someone for 4 months. So he'll be shit hot for 3/4 months then leave us for Westham or Reading....great.

I just can't understand why sign someone for 4 months??....Dick Knight panic signing imo. Needs to get 5 faces and this will count as one!! Joke!

Yeah, but if he was any good, surely he would have been snapped up about 3 years ago?

And might have even got a 2 year contract with us.

Oh, yeah, no he wouldn't :nono:

On the bench for Ireland U21 against England!! Did anyone hear Roy Keanes comments on the poor standard of Irish youngsters after watching that game!! and now we are buying a player not even good enough to get a game for a poor young Irish U21 side who got absolutley hammered by England, I cant complain about him comming but a 4 month contract shows the confidence Knight and Wilkins must have in him!! Doug Loft number 2, Please can we sign a proffesional footballer Knight, That way we can watch proffesional football!! Lets hope the nxt one's not from Hove Park Colts!!!

PS Lets just pray for McFaul to be what Knight had said on the radio"im looking at 5 GOOD players to bolster up the team so we can look at the play-offs"

Brilliant, then we get loads of compensation :)

Won't get any compensation if his contract runs out, he becomes a free agent does he not?

I think thats only if he's released from the club. If we offer him a contract equal to what he's paying paid and another club come in for him then Im sure we get compensation, like Harding? Or is that if he agrees to sign before his contract has expired?

Good lord!

People are rubbishing the guy before he's even had a chance to show us if he can infact play or not.

At least give him a chance to settle in and get used to his team mates before you start cutting him down as seems to be your want.

short contract if it don't work out then no harm done. Bet he has an option for next year if it turns good. Give him a chance

Might be ok , bit concerning why he wasnt good enough for Notts County and obviously inexperienced but never know , might be ok. Be wrong to pin our hopes for the season on him but may turn out to be ok. We def still need to strengthen midfield , preferably with experience !!

didnt really understand the free transfer until end of the season ? is he our player or not ?

It's a start , not spectacular but a bit of hope at least
