Shane Duffy: broken metatarsal, out for at least 6 weeks

Your criticism whilst being ignorant of the facts is just idle & unjustified pontification. You simply haven't got a clue about the club's "resource planning" but you believe they suffer from "internal complacency". Mindless.

You worded that so much better than my effort.

Obviously that decision has to be made on footballing grounds - but where exactly would that leave BFG? Feeling absolutely under-rated, unwanted, and with shattered confidence I shouldn't wonder. Not sure that would be a good thing - I don't know how long he's contracted to us, but I presume Tomori will be off at the end of the season.

After Uwe's limited performances this season the writing is on the wall with him.
I would play Tomori, Hughton however favours experience so good luck Dunk tomorrow.
Will no doubt pick up a booking covering Uwe.

The insistence on following the 'defend for a clean sheet and nick a goal' mindset has been tested over the last 2 months, mainly away from home. Our defence has just not been as good and our ability to come back from behind has been non-existent other than the bombardment at Brentford.

Other areas need to improve before we start worrying about Duffy's absence, Forest were there to be attacked yet we inexplicably sat off for large parts of the first half.

Also, as other posters have suggested, we seem to need a lot of very dangerous moments in the final third to be able to convert. We've been so wasteful of opportunities lately, the most costly against toon where we had a few counters which were squandered to make it 2-0.

Don't know why lot's of people on here are slating Tomori.... maybe I was watching a different game but thought he was impressive when he came on at against Newcastle. Started a bit nervy (understandably, playing in a match of that magnitude at an early age) but second half made some great challenges and looked very athletic. Personally I would like to see him start against Rotherham, he's young and now may get his chance, good luck to the lad!
Yep did superb and he's no wingback hence the negative comments.....He is very highly regarded and will only improve for us :)

Limited appearances more significant (and accurate) than limited performances, I would suggest.

My comment was not meant as a slight on yours..just feel Uwe will not recover to be the player he was when he joined.
It was a serious long term injury and his lack of game time has not helped.

I didn't take it any other way - really no problem [emoji2]

I'd rather have a proven CB than a player playing out of position. Tomori was ok in the second half vs Newcastle, but physically at 19 he is too weak to play CB and would get bullied.

Uwe just needs game time. Whilst we shouldn't take Rotherham lightly, I'd rather him get his 'game legs' against them rather than Derby.

Indeed hopefully Rotherham will be a good game to get Uwe back to fitness. We will miss Duffy but we did OK last season without him. The bigger concern is if Dunk goes for 3 games too, that's when we do have a problem. Can just see Dunk being out in crunch matches

The two matches I think we must have Dunk is against Chris Wood and Cameron Jerome, only because physically they'll batter us.

Kodija is good but a different type of player.

Cant see us winning tomorrow, 0-0 draw
Until our players get over the Newcastle defeat and get their confidence back can see a few dodgy results on the horizon, made even worse by Duffy injury
Sorry if that's not what people want to hear, and it's too negative for some but that's how I see it, the players body language in later stages of Forest game told a big story

I know, we haven't exactly covered ourselves in glory there during the last two seasons.

It is not really a massive problem that Duffy is out. We have cover and decent cover and when Duffy has been playing in the last two games we let goals in and went on to lose the match so maybe it is better to shake things up might actually be what we need!

If we don't win tomorrow you have to question if we deserve to go up. They have loads of injuries and are practically already down
