True, Bas's NINE goals in thirty six matches made all the difference to our play off claims.

Or on wages in line with their ability rather than demanding wages well above their true worth.
Oh and if we still had Bas we probably would not have Murray. I know who I would prefer.

What a load of cock.
Hammond was the only one of them who was any good, and even he was pretty hopeless last season until he left.

Fair enough............I suppose it,s really just a matter of differing opinions on different players.

I suppose the only way of really knowing, is comparing the league position then, with now.

I would imagine that the wage bill is much higher than last season. These are championship players and it dosen't look like it is working. my concern is we are 3 points of relegation - yes it is a long season but we are in october and apart from man city i don't think its been great

That will be Hammond who has been in and out of a side near the bottom of table, and O'Callaghan who has been unused sub last few weeks.

Just think how well we would be doing with them

Under the right manager last season i think they did well - just like some of our players this season

Difficult to say of course as they dont play for us now.

But I do remember when they DID play for us..........we were doing rather better than we are without them.

Mr Anonymous is living up to his name at Colchester then.

Both were average League One midfielders, Hammond might have devoloped into a better player if he'd have stayed here instead of going money grabbing at Colchester.

I'm sorry but Deam Hammond did want to stay and he wasn't interested in the money at Colchester

Your comments don't stack up with the facts though.

This time last season our record was W 4 D 2 L 4, and out of the league cup at the first hurdle

Our record this season in the league is W2 D5 L3 , and through the first two rounds of the league cup.

This means that in total, we have won the same number of games as this time last season, and lost one less.

Yesterday was poor though, and the home form is grim.

I was really referring to the time Hammond AND O,callaghan AND Bas savage were in the team together.

I stand to be corrected, but I dont think O,Callaghan joined until after the season had commenced.

but those 3 weren't here when we played our best football after the January transfer window. That was thanks to Murray, Racon and Westlake
