We beat Wigan 2-1 (edited), invaded the pitch and sang along with Knocky.

Are the only two that were on that promoted side that are still on the team today, Dunk & March?

Seven years of thriving, so impressive.
With an eighth successive season coming up, thanks to @Acker79 Teams that can't catch us thread.

It was 16th April 2011 when we won the League One Championship at Walsall so my FB memories tell me and that one was 3-1. (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

My son and I missed the pitch invasion as it is my Dad’s birthday on this date and we had a family dinner to celebrate his 75th birthday to get back for. I told him he wouldn’t miss anything as it had been made clear there would be no pitch invasion etc. so we dashed out on the final whistle to get home.:ffsparr:

I do believe we have to be careful not to get too carried away, Portsmouth spent seven years in the Premier League, then spent fourteen year to date out of it!

This next year is critical I reckon, the seven year itch could be upon us!

A jobsworth steward targeted my son in trying to prevent him running on seconds after final whistle, despite 1,000’s streaming on. A charge from Dad at the back of that particular scrum resolved the situation :lolol: .

What a day, goosebumps even now. I’ve never remembered much about the football, have never watched it back … just the tension, Powell was their best player, Solly The God .

Other highlights …. incredible mass singing before and at HT in the NS concourse …. so rare since! Knockaert the choirmaster of the Tomor song, that was such a great chant.

Disappointed that I didn’t see the players crowd surfing on the train or the tour of players/fans in West Street …. but that would’ve meant hanging around for endless hours.
