He did last week (in a very minor way) as part of the original Genesis.

No mention of the Stranglers!?

A reasonable band, but did not actually give added value to the punk movement.

Not the first, not the most political, not the first album, not the first single, not the mose outrageaous, just a reasonable band.

Who could actually blend into 2007 music really easily and wouldn't seem outdated.

Unlike a lot of the punk music.

He was in it last week but he was not part of the original Genesis (I believe he was the third or fourth drummer) - as the programme made quite clear. Had you nodded off by then?

Must have but Genesis and most of the bands featured in that episode have that effect on me.

The Sex Pistols and The Buzzcocks were VITAL.

The Ramones were GASH.

It's argued that the New York Dolls were the original punks but they could play their instruments quite well. The Ramones brought on the minimalistic sound that most punk bands (the Stranglers excepted) used and are far from GASH as you put it.

That point was made by the program I thought.

"New York Johnny said, you should get to know your town, just like we do".

The Clash, honouring Johnny Ramone.

The Clash, The Sex Pistols and The Buzzcocks were all better.

The Ramones and NYD were probably OK I just hate American bands.
