Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is set to rest striker Sergio Aguero for the league game against Cardiff on Wednesday and the FA Cup semi-final on Saturday so that the 30-year-old Argentina international is fit to face Tottenham in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on 9 April.

Please could that include Sterling and leave both off the bench. !!!

Can they please field their full U18 squad. I mean, who needs the distraction of the FA Cup when you're chasing the League and Champions League.

Go on Mr Guardiola, send your whole first team off for some warm weather training. They need it. They do. Really. Honest. Look at them. Do it. Go on. Go ooooon....

It is rather important that they beat Cardiff

That would be brilliant. Give Cardiff a right old tonking, then with eyes on the title and champions league, see getting passed little ol Brighton as nothing more than a formality.

Resting Aguero is fine until you realise that Gabriel Jesus is waiting in the wings...

Most of their bench on any given match day walks into every other first XI in the league.

Including Liverpool.

How were Chelsea doing v Cardiff before bringing the best players off the bench? Don’t risk it v Cardiff Pep, just rest them at Wembley.
