I do think the idea of a large number club-bought, low emission buses running a shuttle to Brighton station using some bus lane / A27 road alterations for a high volume pick up and set down point is an idea that has been mentioned time and time again that is eminently doable and affordable. They could hire them out when not in use to recover some costs. But how many buses would be needed to be a game changer? And what's the best way to work a close-to-station terminal point?

If it could be worked out logistically then the level could work as it's relatively central and a simple-ish journey up and down Lewes road

Build a bloody big car park in the field over village way. Use it as a P&R into central Brighton on non-match days .

For the last home game I caught the 49 to the ground and walked from Bolney Road as the 25 was full. There were only about half a dozen other Albion fans on board which surprised me. I suspect this bus route is very under-utilized and I think this is partly down to the extra 500m walk from the Bridge to the bus stop. I'd reconfigure the Bridge car park to have a turning circle for buses at the bottom and extend the 49 to there on matchdays. People are prepared to walk to the Bridge to their cars, so they'd probably walk to catch a bus from there too. The frequency is up to 6 an hour so it could conceivably take several hundred supporters. Might need to add a passing point in Lucraft Road too, as it's pretty narrow.

The buses, taxis etc wouldn't have to go through the tunnel. Just go down the road into Moulsecoomb and join the route of the 49 bus. Oh, and f*ck the cars

I don't get the parking restrictions in Moulsecoombe/Coldean thing. Given there will only be about 24 home games a season, that averages one every 3 weeks or so. Hardly something for the residents to hyperventilate about.

At the back end of the Withdean era I used to park down Tongdean Rd and walk from there, shock horror, no-one died.

1) £2 off pints for an hour.
2) More Park N Rides sites.
3) More busses (co-fund with a bus company if needed).
4) Redesign the car park so buses line up side-by-side (not end-to-end), with direct access onto Village Way.
5) e-bike stations.
6) Monorail.
7) 19.30 latest KO times.

Oh, and stop taxis/other vehicles going back out under the arch at the Bridge car park before matches! ****s.

It does really boil down to more frequent and longer trains (ideally a shuttle service between Brighton and Lewes, in addition to existing services).

There are 2 additional shuttle services put in every single home game on top of the existing service, every game there is 6 trains per hour in each direction on top of the existing 4 trains per hour. The line is at capacity the trains just need to be longer.
