Getting a parcel together with a few Xmas gifts to send to Switzerland.
Only 4 presents in total but one of them is perfume.
It seems, that is not allowed.
Should I risk it having already bought it or is the whole parcel likely to be destroyed if item is detected?
Sending thru Parcelforce worldwide so not sure if it goes by road or plane.

You will have to fill out a CN22 customs listing the contents , it's your call weather or not you make a fraudulent declaration .

I use this site for Switzerland: https://swissfamilyfun.com/send-gif... rules state that, disregard the “gift” status.

It's a bit late now, but I tend to use Amazon.de for the reasons they espouse in the blog.

Swiss customs are, well, very Swiss...

Weather is frosty about it, back to you.

I've sent engines gearboxes guitars, amps and parts all over the world . . . . never sent anything to Switzerland! They are a bit special . .

It's a different postal service entirely, but I sent perfume to my sister via BFPO (British Forces) every Christmas for years when she was based in Cyprus, not realising it was forbidden. Never had a problem.

I imagine the risk of it being intercepted is relatively small, but ultimately the risk is yours to weigh up.

As for parcel force rip off.. customs today charged £6:45 duty on an item from Hong Kong bloody post office added £8 handling fee.... robbing twunts

I get that a lot from parts from the US . . . believe me, they're good compared to the likes of UPS/DHL higher charges, handlingf fees and a barrage of threatening letters . . . I even had one on the dpoprstep with a parcel and a CC machine! They're legalised Pirates

Well, I’ve decided to take the chance.
Posted it just now but I have declared it in the custom documents which I’ve put in an envelope and taped it to side of box.
Fingers crossed they don’t open it up.
It’s a chance it might not get delivered I suppose.
I’ll post back if it gets delivered
