Looks a good player, and is a known goalscorer, but clearly his face doesn't fit with Garcia - for reasons that only Garcia knows.

What a total waste of a signing.

Must be this as how can anyone be judged on playing ten minutes of each game a s a sub. Needed more of a chance than he has been given, I just hope he starts on Saturday. OG sees Barnes as an all round better player than Lita which I would probably agree with but as a goal scorer in this division, I would def not agree with.

Me too. What happened to Oscar's 'attack, attack, attack' philosophy, in the easiest game of the season as well!?
His policy now appears to be : defend, defend, defend and with our one chance a game we might steal a win !

Or Barnes starts ahead of Lita because he is better at holding up the play so that midfielders can get forward in support and with the style we play, that is what Garcia is looking for.

The biggest disappointment from the Barnsley game wasn't Lita only getting a few minutes or not having two forwards on at once but the lack of midfielders getting forward quickly and breaking into their box so that when (or if) we put in a cross, there may have been someone who could have been on the end of it or of a Barnes knockdown from it.

The whole first half reminded me of the Palace 2nd leg play-off match. It felt that the fans had decided we'd already won, the players felt they could turn up and would win and when we needed to lift them and get behind them the crowd also couldn't be that bothered either, in a more competative game with the result more in the balance, everyone lifts themselves and tries that bit harder and thats what we missed against Barnsley and paid dearly for it.

Wouldn't we all (well a lot of us) but like someone else said, never going to happen. Sadly two strikers starting seems to be out of fashion at the moment in football, or as some people say "dinosaur tactics".....This one up front is not for me, but there we go. Guess i will be picking and choosing my games next season, because the football bores me shitless atm.

How do you know he hasn't? Are you present at training sessions? Lita needs to earn his place in the team.

I love it when someone goes on about how a certain player does in training as if that is the deciding factor as to whether that player is in the team or not. Half the worlds best players would never have got a game on that basis. Was listening to Matt Letissier recently and he reckoned he was hopeless in training but most managers didn't care as it was better to play a potential matchwinner who didn't train than a donkey who worked his socks off in training but would never win you anything. Added to that there are loads of players who are too crocked to train regularly but are always on the teamsheet each game even though they rarely train. So hypothetically, if Barnes was a great trainer but never scored and Ulloa was a lazy trainer who scored every time he played, you would obviously choose Barnes over Ulloa?

The problem here is not how Lita trains, it's the negative system we play.

Nice to see so many on here realising that we should have been more attacking when playing the bottom club at home, with a record of 1 win in 9 before they played us.

Instead Oscar sends Nathan (tw@t) out to tell the media it's a 'tough game' (laughable and boring since he says it EVERY ****ing game), we put out a team with zero creativity, one striker who has regularly underperformed, a midfielder in SD who has failed to perform at all this season, then we sit back and manage one, count them one, long-range effort (brilliant BTW) in the first 30 minutes. Then the weakest team in the division scores, scores again, then we finally wake-up. However, it is an NSC offence to criticise poor tactics by Oscar, and the sheep (TLO et al) all fall in line.

Now, Leicester; that's a game we should approach cautiously.

I was always under the impression that Lita was brought in as back up for Barnes in case of injury/suspension, not necessarily as a regular contributor.

Try telling Leroy that!

I would be more worried if Lita wants to go back, because of lack of action. We need at least 4 strikers on the books, and i see Lita replacing Hoskins.

Good point re Hoskins. There must be very little chance he will play for us again, sadly. Barnes could leave too. Lita or A N Other a 'must' I suspect.

If this a true assessment of Lita's ability I am surprised to have read that the club are looking to sign him permanently in January and he is hoping to sign. This would then give us, with Ulloa and CMS, the four strikers that every club wants to have to be successful.

Why would Leroy stay? He is being bizarrely ignored here. He is obviously better than Barnes, and should have had a chance to play by now.

You could have the best 4 strikers in the championship but if the midfield is as ineffective as they were on Tuesday they would also not score goals ... and please Oscar drop Dave and give his spot to some-one who is showing a semblance of form or give Solly a game
