Weirdly I was just about to start a thread about exactly this thing!

I was thinking of Kazenga Lua Lua and just how ridiculously good he was on his day.

He won't be forgotten by me: I still recall a momentous sliding tackle he did in the pissing rain. He looked like he slid half the pitch but was probably about five or six metres - won the ball and absolutely smashed into the opposition player.

One of those players who gave it everything, every game.

I think most of the players who were in the team for Russell Slade's "great escape" warrant a shout here. That was followed by Bloom's takeover, Poyet's appointment, and the rest is history - but would any of that have happened if Slade's squad (many of whom subsequently joined him at Orient) hadn't kept us up that season? I seem to recall being very impressed with Doug Loft in midfield.

Lloyd Owusu, can only have played a dozen or so matches for us but always seemed to score/assist. Saved us from almost certain relegation.

Was gutted at the time he didn't sign permanently.

Ian Baird, as if him and Darren Moore hadn't been sent off in that game against Doncaster we would never have won as it as Moore was having a blinding game .
