How can the club turn down 250k

I watched currie .v. rotherham last week and how many chances did he ruin by slicing his kicks??

I cannot understand all of you who are against dick knight as well.

Where would we be without him? Underneath toys r us and dfs.

Yes Currie was our best crosser of the ball

Yes he will be missed

But considering he has been playing as one of a midfield three with Reid and Harding as wingbacks he hasnt been making many telling crosses anyway.

He couldnt wait to go so what the point of keeping him.....if we dont get a replacement and the money is used to run the club we obviously needed it.

What about Jarrett, Jonah, Harty we do have some options

I personally think Hart has got miles more pace than Currie and can also put in a good cross. He is a great player in my view and this transfer could be the difference between him going or staying...

Currie was good, but he wasn't THAT good. I never saw him run a game in the style of, say, Sidwell or Danny Wilson. To say he was our only creative player is absolute BOLLOCKS. How about Knight, Jarrett, Jones, even Hart when he feels like it...? Oh, and Richard Carpenter takes a pretty mean free kick as well.

Pav, you are wearing the rose-tinted spectacles in your appraisal of Currie.

As an Ipswich fan I think this was a great move. Ipswich's weakest point has been right midfield with central midfielder Tommy Miller being pushed wide to fill a gap in the squad. It's likely that Currie will start on the bench against QPR. It means Ipswich now have five midfielders and I'm sure they'll all be regulars. We had a below par player on loan earlier this season and he became a regular.

It wasn't that long ago that Ipswich were in administration and more than half of the squad went on the cheap or were released. It's a tough position to be in for anyone involved in the club not least the fans. There isn't a club I would like to see in this position (apart from maybe MK Franchise).

For Ipswich this was a groundbreaking news. It was the first significant cash signing for three years, every other signing had been on a free or a Bosman deal (with one exception when Town signed two youth players from non-league Ford Utd for £10k).

It's always exciting when a new player signs and when he comes in to fill an obvious gap in the squad it's extra special. Apparently it had a psychological effect on Town fans - curry orders have been soaring all over Town. One fan went onto radio and pledged that he would buy a curry every time he scored. The presenter asked what if he scores a hattrick? The caller replied then it will be a very hot curry.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, if you want a loan attacking player the young Owen Garvan is available on loan, he's only 16 but is highly rated. Antonio Murray is also available on loan who is a midfielder. Full back Adem Atay and winger Daniel Flack were both released this week, I don't know much about them but I guess it was a sign that someone was about to come in. You never know one of them may just need a new club to find form.
