Not at all as I said
(a) If he wants toi go it would be wrong to hold him back.
(b) The price was verey hifgh ien £18m+ to0 strengthen the team.
(c) If Goldson and or Uwe had shown they were capable replacements which is obvious we would need.

One of the most idiotic posts I have seen for a while. Good job.

Ah, someone else who doesn't want us in the Premier League.

Bearing in mind the untold riches available in the Premier League, to risk it all for a quick amount which, in relative terms, is small change, isn't exactly showing ambition. At least Lewis and the club understand the concept of loyalty, even if you can only in the see short-term.

You talk some utter rubbish but that takes the biscuit. I have always wanted us in the top division long before you ever entered this site with your sucking up to the club. The club have always said they would never hold a player back so if as suggested a top 6 premier club comes in for him it would be totally wrong for us to hold him back but to let him go it would take a lot of money. That could then be spent strengthening the side in other departments but also it would mean that we would need both Goldson and Uwe to have stepped up to the mark to replace him. and thus minimise our loss on the field to not make us weaker. What is so wrong with that?

That is what comes of not checking what you have typed see post no 188 for full explanation odf my view. I would point out I dont want to sell him but can see the positives out of doing so. It is also possible that he has a clause in his newly signed contract allowing him to leave subject to price etc.

Just to remind you, respectfully BG, we did just that with Leo...took the money and ran. Unfortunately we haven't come near to replacing him. Otherwise in my opinion we would already be in the Prem.
I hope Mr Tony won't make that mistake again, and as he so ethically stuck to his guns in the recent Transfer Window I would imagine he's determined not too.

Hopefully 20m or somewhere near that if there is a release clause. Normally things like that are known though so would think that is not the case

I would think that we would only find out if it was imminent that a top club had come in for him. I must admit to being concerned that Chelsea could come in for him when Terry finally goes.

Would think W Ham would be more plausible what with there defensive issues

Did you not previously say somewhere that Goldson and Uwe had already proved themselves more than capable hence we didnt need Duffy. Now you seem to be suggesting they need to prove they can step up

They didnt show up too good against Reading in the cup game probably due to lack of matches but if we were to consider selling Dunk CH would have to be sure they could step up.
to take his place. On last seasons showing they probably could but are they back to that level yet?
