Yes. Presumably they've used the opportunity to accelerate the construction. Does anyone have any pictures of how it's going?

They are still awaiting the Lego starter kit to be delivered by Amazon. Should look nice though with red and blue bricks with plastic trees added to blend it in

They are the luckiest team in the division. Constantly shite but spawn results. It's galling, but it is true.

All the mates I have who support other teams say the same thing. Nobody can work out how Palace aren't bottom of the league every season with the abysmal football that they play.

But that's where we are. Presumably the luck will run out sooner or later, but maybe not. It's as if Parish found a magic lamp in the rusting, decrepit hovel but forgot to ask for some class.

You ok ?

What a strange post. "Bears" no relation to what I wrote whatsoever.

And yes, I'm fine thanks hun.

*Backs out of room slowly...*

Outside:

"Who was that weirdo?"

"Not sure mate but we're best off leaving if they let people like that in"

"Fair play. He's probably Palace"

"Well, that would explain it"

Everything he wrote is true though.

He wishes it was trolling, hence her post but she knows deep down that is all true & wasn’t trolling - bless him.

Yep. That's what makes it's post so funny. Doesn't even understand what trolling means.

It's nearly finished.

Indeed. I have a couple of mates who are Palace STHs and both say the football they play is dire. The last game with us sums them up. Take a fortunate ill-deserved lead and spend 70 mins soaking up pressure (which fortunately was put right in injury time).

But the people at the top of the club don't care whether the football is any good or not. The noisy children in black who provide the so-called 'atmosphere' don't watch the games anyway and what are the fans going to do instead - watch Millwall or Crawley?

I am not convinced yet. On the face of it, they don't struggle as often as we do, but is that because they've bought more experience or is it because their key players have avoided injury? It would be interesting to see what happened to them if one of their senior players got an injury like, say, Izquierdo or even Andone (before he was hustled out the door for being a bellend).

We are all frustrated with the fact we spend forever looking over our shoulders at the relegation places, but I'm simply not convinced that would be fixed by suddenly switching to Palace's model.

Yeah this.

It would be very difficult to switch to their model anyway.
Palace have been paying for a strong first team and a few decent squad players, for a number of years now.
When this became unsustainable they had to sell Wan Bissaka to balance the books.

We spend similar amounts on wages to them.
It's just that our spend is spread much further, with an eye on having a decent squad for the next 5 -10 years.

No idea which approach is better, but neither is guaranteed.

I guess, unless you are a shady sheiky gazzilionaire or similar, it will always be a calculated risk . . . . We can't be far off the point where you/your club need to have £10Bn just to enter the PL, or put another way, no locally/ family or traditionally owned clubs
