Same here.
Good value, and lots of choice, and good after sales.
100%. The last "excellent" one I got from there was literally like new, screen plastic on and everything

I'd highly recommend using giffgaff, maybe for the ops sim only deal as well. I pay just 6 pound a month to giffgaff for my sim, unlimited calls etc. Only 2 gb of data but I'm on wifi almost permanently, so just downgraded from £10 pounds per month

Cheap as chips

When my kids first got phones they had Android devices and Family Link worked fine on my iPhone. I could set times their phones could/couldn't be used, it prompted me to give permission before they could download any apps and I could see their locations too. All remote locking/disabling device features worked too. This was a couple of years back but I'd be surprised if it had stopped working in the same way.
Perhaps so, but not the other way around.

To be honest it has been the cause of much heated debate but sadly the degree of aggro is just not worth it if we insist she has a Samsung android. I'm really rather hoping when she sees her brother's shiny new mobile without wear and tear it might get her back onside for her next phone. Trying to explain to her about software updates and support has proven pointless.
My 2 girls similar age to yours are both on I phones, I'm android. Makes no difference to me, I don't think software updates and support should be an issue for you tbh. Theirs are like iPhone 12s or something I think, so a few versions old but still do the job.

Sorry I should add to that "makes no difference to me"... their mum has an IPhone so can manage their screen time, apps etc. Don't know of that's possible if you have android, I expect not. But that's really important. It'd be a flat no to a device if we had no control over those things, that's not something negotiable these days for their own safety and well being and your piece of mind a little
