A group of us had a discussion at half time and nobody could see one advantage about buying the PSL and spending £495 other than making a donation to BHA. Are we missing something? Also assuming there are only 3 or 4 presentations per day all fully attended, by the time we get to ours on 26th Jan approx 1200 people will have visited. If each one takes up the option of buying just ther own seat and paying the 1 months money that will be reducing the choice for 1200 people if a number take up the option of their 1 + 3 seats that makes the situation even worse. Those going near the end , through no fault of their own will be in a position of having to take what seats are left. Doesnt seem right to me somehow.

The club have made a massive mistake with the farcical +3 system, which is so obviously open for abuse it seems strange. The end result being that a number of people who have never been to a game before will get given priority.

Every current season ticket holder will get a seat, where is the problem?

But due to the system of presentation and booking it at the time those going later in the month, through no fault of their own may have to settle for a seat that is left and not what they actually wanted. Would it not have been better to have the presentation and then after the last one open the reservations on a first come first served basis, whereby everybody has the same chance to get the seat they want.

In a hypothetical world there will be 1200 attend the presentation before me so there may well be 4,800 seats already allocated by the time I have the opportunity to secure mine. Is that fair not only to me but to all of the other people attending about the same time. 1 chap sitting just behind us is booked at a later date than me so he has less chance of getting the seat he wants.

its a problem with all seater grounds, people want to go to football with mates and family. It made sense to have the plus 3 idea as from a selling point of view season ticket holders will probably mention to people they know and sell a ticket or two themselves. But is it fair, nope, but that's life. W beed terraces back and choice, but that is 5 years away at least.

Its never going to be a perfect system. What about all the people having presentations after you? They will have even less choice!

That is my point. Those going on Monday of next week have the best ooportunity but I think everybody should have an equal opportunity. What if everybody wants the cheapest seats and they sell out, I dont as it happens, and other people cant afford the other dearer seats.

What system would you implement whereby every STH gets an equal opportunity? Surely that wouldn't be possible?

How would you suggest they do it then? Musical chairs? Mass free-for-all with GOSBTS playing in the background. When it stops, you sit down and that's your seat.

Surely, you are potentially going to have the problem of people 'having to take the seats that are left' HOWEVER they decide to do it.

+3 is a nice idea by the club to get people in but has been executed poorly at the detriment of current season ticket holders.

As I said open the allocating of tickets on the Monday after the last presentation at the ticket office and by postal or online thereby everybody has attended and decided which seat they would like. At least it would then be first come first served on the basis that those that pull their finger out and act get first pick. The 1 + 3 should have been 1 + 1. The 1 + 3 means the unscrupulous will sell their 3 extras at a profit, not perhaps the actual ST but the application forms to get them.

Nobody even on here has suggested 1 benefit to buying a PSL.

Unlikely but possible and all eventualities should have been considered. As I said this was a point of discussion at half time after having laughed off the first half. As somebody said 'Brian put it on NSC and see what answers come back and general reaction is' so that is what I have done and as yet not a lot either for or against it so perhaps people dont have a view or hadnt considered it.

BG would you have been happier if you were at the first presentation?

Obviously as the system is but that is not the point the reason I was not has nothing whatsoever to do with me, had it been, the onus would have been on me to do something very quickly.

I think the system adopted is ill thought out and being badly operated.

Anyone else think that it is EXTREMELY unlikely that the first 1,200 presentations will lead to 4,800 season tickets being sold?

Unlikely? Impossible more like. Some of those attending will be under 16 and they are not entitled to +3. I'd be surprised if on average each season ticket holder purchases more than around one extra.

I know a group of around 12 people who are all current season ticket holders who want to sit together. Collectively they are entitled to buy 36 extra tickets, but as far as I know they are getting ONE extra season ticket between the lot of them.
