Season's biggest disappointment so far - Nicky Forster

Jake had a good game but unfortunately that couldnt be said of Revell or Savage in my opinion.

will be interesting to see what wilkins will do next week if forster is fit - we should be looking to go and win at port vale as it is another gillingham/bournemouth type game

unfortunately, i fear wilkins will stick with revell up there, despite his only ability being that of being like a dog chasing a baloon

just a quick thought about this maybe if he had of been playing yesterday we might have scored a player with his know how could have maybe scored as it sounded like the youngsters were snatching at their shots.

Could have done with Forster in the middle yesterday. Jakey must have put half a dozen shots over the bar. Lad was trying too hard, would have been better if he'd been able to stay on the wing and fire in killer crosses.

Forster's a good player but was never going to score a hatfull of goals - his past record shows that. When we signed him I thought he would go alongside a second forward we would sign who was a regular goalscorer. I honestly expected us to sign another striker in the summer to play with Forster, and let one or two of the other 'nearly' players go.

He'll come good if we can find a decent striker in January, I'm sure of that.

If Forster likes the ball to his feet, yesterday would have been perfect for him as we played some of the best passing football so far this season.

When he plays we hoof it upfield.

When he doesn't we play passing football.

Doesn't make a lot of sense does it?

If Forster likes the ball at his feet, it's going to be tough tonight on a wet pitch.

It's a long time since I thought this, but the wet pitch will be a leveler and not to our advantage!

Disagree, wet pitch will suit us same as the half time watering the other week did.

Boggy pitch no , watered zippy pitch Yes. Our pitch is pure grass and no mud yet so be ok

It won't matter what the playing surface is like, we'll win this easily as long as defence doesn't go to sleep. Then again, Cheltenham haven't got strikers like Orient so I'm not exactly worried about this.

I started the thread and I'm happy to admit that the improvement in his form recently has been a revelation. He is now showing what a very good player he is. Which I guess is why we bought him.

Well done, Nicky!

I thought he was MOM last night.

Certainly in the last few games he has been making his own chances more. Knows every trick in the book as well.

dunno I'm lost
It was always going to take him a little while to settle in and find his feet.

The old saying of form and class is very true and relevant to Forster.

Let's hope he keeps banging them in and stays fit.
