I do hope the club implement this scheme where non attending STH's can sell their ST for game they cannot attend. If a similar percentage of STH's are no shows as at Withers, there could easily be another 1500 available for all but the biggest games.

Has anyone heard anything on this, other than the club agreeing that it's a good idea?

This is a fantastic effort by the club and fans, exceeded my expectations by about double!

Can’t believe that we will probably be in the top 7 or 8 best supported teams in the Championship next year! I always laughed when people referred to us as a sleeping giant but I’m happy to be wrong on this occasion.

Hey All ! my first post!..

It's difficult to judge just how many season tickets your likely to sell for our new season in the championship. But maybe a little neive though!. Why!.

When I watched the albion at the goldstone back in the late 70's early 80's in the old 2nd division (now Championship) the average gate back then was 25,264. and back then the children were far less in number, probably due to standing shoulder to shoulder not being good for children.

Now we have this immense new stadium, and from which, by the looks of the inside is going to create an atmosphere two fold to the actual attendance, as the acoustical design looks very very impressive.

And the facilities are beyond anything which albion have ever had, traveling facilities etc.. The modern football arena has changed, all this put together will obviously attract a far greater audiance then that of Withden/Goldstone put together..

I probably wouldn't have based the new stadium capaicity on the previous history of attendances going back the last 15 years.

Anyway, it's a good thing that expansion to the proposed 30,000 wouldn't need any kind of planning permission. and no doubt will be needed when the waiting list for season tickets grow during next season.

It's been 30 years since Brighton had regular league crowds of 20,000+ it'll be freaking awesome. it will sound like 40,000 in the amex.

I can confirm that we have sold out all season tickets. I had to phone the club this afternoon re question about first payment on mine and while I was about it asked if there were any ST's left. Answer: None, every stand sold out 100% (except seats held back for POTD etc). They explained that a waiting list was all that could now be offered. Trust us to build a stadium to small! Should still mean we have either the 6th or 7th best gate in the Championship next year, not bad seeing where we've come from. I think the club have done a good job in getting it sold out by early May, though I'm sure they never thought it would be this easy.

I think it comes down to pricing, and the flexible Payment options. I almost crashed my car the other day while listening to a gooner on the radio saying he shells out £1800 for a season ticket up there, And they don't even spend the money on players!..

I said many of times the ground was to small and also others said the same thingIm just laughing at 80% of people on here who estimated 15kish crowds next season and even some inbreds stated 12k

At least some of us know our potential and even weird was the fact our board at the club knew we would sell out.

The small downside is the lack of POTG tickets available,so many floating casual fans have to battle for 900 tickets and you could get upto 10k trying to get these tickets at certain games

Not wanting to piss on anyone's parade and it is an immense achivement but actually maximising bums on seats on match days could be even harder to do than selling the ST's in the first place. Unless the club is very well organised and very proactive and unless the (from our experience at Withdean) surprisingly/disappointingly high number of no-shows actively give a shit and want to offer their tickets for re-sale, there will rarely be anything even close to a 20K crowd.

Lots of hard work to do and it isn't all down to the club!
