Our group of six have given up our prime WSL seats that we've had for the last three years simply down to cost (well cost plus the morons behind us). We've moved round to the North West corner and saved ourselves a combined £1200 - although it looks like we'll now be paying that back for a round of beers.
Are the 1901'ers tied in to the deal for five years? Thought I read that was the case when the Amex opened. Might be wrong. If it is the case, might be interesting when it comes time to tie them in for a further period, especially in light of the continuing complaints about over-priced not very good food and the newly-announced Bennett's field parking restrictions.

I can understand when people have to miss too many games because of the transport but there do seem some other lame excuses. Out of interest, those in Lancing or Portslade, have you driven to Lewes and parked there and got the train in or what exactly is wrong with the Mill Road P & R apart from the queue after the game. Normally am home in Burgess Hill within an hour of final whistle and that's normally getting the second wave of buses.
As for exciting football, well we all want that but don't seem to remember too much of that during the 90s!
Going back to the Goldstone days, that used to take an age to get home when there were traffic lights at Patcham and Pyecombe!!!
Still, it did seem relatively cheaper in those days.

" gives a full report on the ref"I Travel with the Mid Sussex independent Supporters Club we have a full 82 seater coach for every game with a waiting list. We make the whole day an experience with knowledgable fans a bit fun in the pub before we have a couple of beers in the ground a sweep stake on the coach for the first brighton goal unfortunately it rolled over to many times last year,we also welcome new fans and announce birthdays on the coach our Chairman gives a full report on the ref for the game. The main thing we have followed Brighton thru good and bad times but we are Brighton Fans. We are looking forward to the new season.we also run events during the year when the club often attends. Keep the faith
After the absolute horsecrap served up for most of last season and with the dessimation of the squad, sale of all our best players and uninspiring repaclements if replacements at all, it seems the club is going in the wrong direction very fast, sad but there we are
Two more years to go. It will be very interesting to see how they price it.
This is a fair reason. I missed the Southampton match because of this. The travel is ridiculous and it was is the railways fault for cancelling the connecting train for evening games. They may cancel another trains as well which happens whether football is on or not. The service on West Coastway is so bad that football fans are just suffering what everybody else has to put up with anyway. But 2 hours for 12 miles is OTT.
E1F is 131 seats down from last year. This appears to include regular season ticket holders (next to me) last year. Best seats gone.
I have been in most parts of the side of the ground. In one section the continual inane shouting from one spectator is bound to put people off. On the terraces you can move around, but stuck with a season ticket near him ...
I know two people who have not renewed,.... they cite the travel issues as the reason, especially the night games, but general travel carnage trying to get trains back to Portslade and Lancing respectively.
Out of interest, which p&r do you use?
I definitely agree those factors would contribute towards slowing the rate of decline of our attendances, but the 28,000+ averages were never going to last. We may be a fairly big club, but we're not that big. I predict that the attendances will continue to drop until either we reach a plateau of around 14,000 or so OR when we're topping the league.
...but it is paramount that the club takes into account the factors mentioned in your post, as well as looking after the long-term Albion fans by stopping this cancerous commercialisation of the Albion, while at the same time doing everything they can to make the atmosphere at the Amex rock.
I was surprised to see so many great seats available for the Sheff Weds game on the club website today. Seats that have not been available in the past, like lower East and West (centre). I heard we have lost close to 10% of season ticket holders but it seems like more, especially from the prime seating areas. I assume the question may come up at the forum next week but does anyone know the actual number?
