What if you wanted a piece of cake as well?

I'd say 'plus a pain au raisin please' and wonder whether I should say that with an english accent or try a bad french one. That's another issue completely.

Two cappuccinos? Or two cappuccini?

We'll move on to the panino / panini debate later - and tackle the issue of whether a panino can ever be legitimately toasted.

I took my old dear in a coffee shop once on the right up St James St (pre-Starbuckies era), and as we were perusing the coffee 'menu' board behind the counter, there was an option for 'Just a coffee...' Don't know what it consisted of, but a god-send for those struck down with menu-blindness :rolleyes:
