I bet you squeak when you walk!
I've only skimmed through the thread but there seems to be others who, like me, didn't think the 2-5% increase unreasonable.
.
But then the penny dropped!
If we DO get promoted we are paying the price hike for FOUR fewer games
AND we will have games early and late on Saturdays and on Sunday afternoons and on Monday evenings. Given the shambolic state of the transport infrastructure (P&R but more particularly the trains) getting to and from those games is going to be even more of a nightmare.
If we dont get promoted, how can Barber justify a price hike well above the rate of inflation for the same product/service?
.
Just my 2p worth.
I am a STH and I go when I can to follow the team I have supported for 30+ years. I don't consider the £ per game, if I did I would buy on a game by game situation. If I did that I wouldn't be able to buy the same seat for every game(that may not be an issue for some). I don't understand the increase kerfuffle because as I see it your not comparing eggs with eggs. The 23 games in the Championship are not directly proportional to the 19 games in the Premier League.
I think the chairman has done way and above the required "stuff" and I know it's a business but without his risk we wouldn't have what we have now. If I can do my bit I will wholeheartedly. If I took the view of some I would just calculate whether it works for me and make a choice not bleat about it.
Thanks Mr Bloom.
Up The Albion.
any idea how much tickers will be on match by match basis for those who work saturdays
Don't give a shit about the opposition tbh

that would be more than away fans are going to be chargedDifficult to tell at the moment but could be expensive. My current season ticket equates to £24.50 per game which is about £8 less than the cat B match day price. If we go up, using the same differential, my seat will have an average price of £31 so the match day price could be £40ish. That's WSU. Not sure what the other areas are likely to be.
It isn't.
If. IF. IF Are you advocating that the club just don't bother starting the renewal process until the end of the season? Possibly until the end of May?
How did you extrapolate that from his comments. The club have already put in a caveat that if we go up there would be no change to the price so they could, if they saw fit, advise that if we went up there would be no change.
Simply untrue. The very opposite of true, in fact. The difficult ones for the overwhelming majority of people, are the midweek evenings. IF we went up, we'd have many LESS of those, not more.
Slightly disengenuous and presumptive. If the overwhelming majority did have problems with midweek fixtures then surely there would be a considerable drop in the attendance.
If we don't get promoted, then we're talking about a tiny rise that you started your own post by describing as 'not unreasonable'!
And it is justified by the fact that at the current prices, the club (well, Tony Bloom) is currently losing well over a MILLION pounds per MONTH. Perhaps we should just tell him to stump up a bit more?
I agree that there is justification if we don't go up because TV revenues will stay roughly the same. The increase in ticket prices won't even put a dent on the annual loss that TB has to put up with. Unfortunately I would suggest that the only way TB can recoup money next season if we don't go up will be with sales of the likes of Stockdale, Knockaert and Dunk.

Eh?
They CAN proceed because he's stated there would be no difference in price, regardless of division.
If there were to be a potential difference that would create a costly and time-consuming administrative head-ache, given that tens of thousands of people will be a couple of payments into a DD by the time the final cost is known,
