She's very lucky as she has the chance of a job-but, guess what-it's a Saturday job!! She's a worker and a grafter-spent the entire 6 weeks summer hols last year working for a family member, has already gained 2 A's and a C in GCSE's taken early-and like me, football is her down time. She's already looking for a job to fit in with college and wants to save towards her uni costs as she understands how much they are going to be! Unfortunately my youngest doesn't have the same ethos!!!
We are not a family who goes out all the time-our season tickets are our only luxury-and hard worked for (and fought for as hub thinks they are an unnecessary cost and drain to our budget).

Because my daughter has a sensible head on her shoulders and knows that getting good GCSE's and A levels will give her a better chance at a job. As I've said, she's not a layabout-she's sitting at the dining room table right now, on a Saturday night, revising!
I'm not saying that getting a job at age 16 is wrong-my youngest has shown no aspirations with college or FE but she's amongst the first lot this government have forced to stay in education until they are 18!!

After two years I gave up my season and decided to attend when the opposition seemed above average and we played two up front, I want to see entertaining football with a few goals thrown in,result no attendance so far this season so no frustration and I am quids in.

I'm sort of half hoping that the girl next to me moves to a different seat next season.

Wow. Shocked by the negativity on this thread. As fully fledged JCLs, me and my lad love going to the Amex, having only been occasionals at the Withdean. Championship football is great. Would we be happier if we were scoring 5 goals every week ? Sure, but back in the real world football isn't like that. Good games and bad games, you just roll with it. As for transport problems, we're normally home easily within an hour of the final whistle which compared with watching what I'd consider to be a comparable level of football (ie in London) is perfectly ok. We'll be renewing.

I'm 17, and watching the Albion is fine at home, but I only have 1 or 2 people I go with, rather than the 6/7 last season. People my age want money, and the only jobs available are Saturday jobs, evening jobs are hard to come by. Me myself, I referee on a Sunday to earn money, but as you can see by the weather there isn't many games at this time. I've only done 1 away game this year whilst I usually do around 6 a season. I'm thinking about giving up my season ticket next year as I'll be going by myself, which isn't what I really want to be doing at this age, and plus I can earn money doing a Saturday job, which I'd rather be doing than going by myself.

Not an option but I'm on the fence, depends what the increase will be and what signings they make. Been a ST holder since 1986 but the mojo has waned somewhat, I'm the last one of all my friends who used to go currently sit with my sons but they are giving up
Who we sign is irrelevant.
We have a fantastic squad, we play the best football in the division, and the stadium is awesome.
Can't see why any supporter would need more than that.

Maybe it is an age thing who knows.. but we do not play the best football by a long way we are 9th 20pts plus behind the leaders says it all and yes the stadium is awesome

Because it was new then, about the day out, there was the excitement of being young in another town following our club but Ive done all that and Im older. Life moves on as must we. I will also say that half the time it was not that great, but when it was great it was fantastic.

And I'm older. I'm guessing we are the same age? Young men in the Mullery era? I still get the excitement and go to matches but I don't criticise others for not going (apart from Husty obviously). Not wishing to provoke an argument but it's like Fairy hoping that no one else renews their season ticket because there is no aggro any more.
