Season Ticket pricing for League 1

Strange that we haven't had renewal letters yet, might be waiting a while if they intend to send them out whilst we are on an upward trajectory.

Last season they were sent out on the 17th of Feb according to the club site, although we'd already had details by now. 2013/14 tickets were also announced in Feb 2013, so should be soon.

He's getting paid a salary, not making a profit from the fans/customers. The suggestion was that we're overpaying so that someone can make a nice profit at our expense, which is clearly not happening.

As far as i'm aware that isn't his salary, it's made up of many bonuses for meeting certain targets, such as making profits from fans/customers.

But BHA don't make a profit from fans, they're making a huge loss. His job is to keep that loss within limits. He is not making a profit at our expense.

We go up -> paul barber sniffs supply + demand scenario and realises we can charge more but still fill the stadium, increasing profits (by a marginal amount in comparison to TV money, thus totally unnecessary) -> because of this increase in profits, paul barber meets more targets and gets paid more.

Well I hope the club agree with you that it will make a marginal difference, and therefore not be necessary. But I would say that since it will make such a marginal difference, it won't effect whether or not he gets his bonus. If TB paid him directly proportional to our profit/loss (eg, reduce loss by £500k and he gets a % of that) then that would be TB's fault, but I don't think it works like that. We have to meet FFP, and so his payment will obviously be related to that, but I don't think he gets a direct % for every penny he gets from us.

Barber is simply doing what TB tells him, and TB is making a huge loss, so while I don't want high prices for the fans, I'm also aware that those prices are not giving someone a profit.

From a spectators view...I like to see good competitve Football...Ipswich game was probably the one great home Game....If we had drawn it would have still have been good to watch..Whilst I would love to watch the big clubs at the Amex if we were good enough...I`ve enjoyed last few seasons where we have competed in Championship...We simply have not been good enough this season as most if not all of our better players have gone...I would rather watch us with a chance of promotion in Div 1 (winning at home most weeks) than struggling in Premier or Championship.

From a spectators view...I like to see good competitve Football...Ipswich game was probably the one great home Game....If we had drawn it would have still have been good to watch..Whilst I would love to watch the big clubs at the Amex if we were good enough...I`ve enjoyed last few seasons where we have competed in Championship...We simply have not been good enough this season as most if not all of our better players have gone...I would rather watch us with a chance of promotion in Div 1 (winning at home most weeks) than struggling in Premier or Championship.

If the worst was to happen, which I don't think it will, the club will have one hell of a job on their hands in trying to cover costs of the stadium and training ground (if they keep category 1 status), having a team to bounce back at the first attempt and keeping the fans happy(ish).

They are already having difficulties shifting tickets for games this season hence the latest offers to buy tickets so how are they going to shift tickets for League 1 at £40+ a time ? Well one saving will be £600k as we won't need a CEO earning that in League 1 and other salaries can be cut leaving room to at least HALVE the cost of season tickets so we pack the ground otherwise it will end up like Darlingtons ground

It's all very well to talk about the STHs that we have this season, which is still very impressive for a Championship club. However, we know the 'actual' attendance at games this season has been way lower than announced, which in the main will be STH not turning up.

I accept that there could be a myriad of reasons why STH don't go to games, but it is unquestionably been worse this year, and there has to be genuine concern that those could not renew, in addition to those that might not renew anyway, particularly if we do go down.

And I am struggling with those that are confident of our survival. Right now, we are relying on 3 more teams remaining to be more sh1t than us, rather than us showing any kind of survival form.

We need to win at least 6 of our remaining games, and get some results in 6 of the others, which is bordering on mid-table form, to be anything like sure of survival. Has anybody seen that kind of promise yet?

I honestly think that gates will drop to around 15-17,000 if we go down, and that is really really bad news for us right now.

With 15,000 seats available for every game why bother having one, it was different the first season at Amex 22,000 capacity people didn't didn't want to miss out on an exciting new era for the club so most of us bought a season ticket when we've never bothered before at the Goldstone or WITHDEAN
The interest free direct debit is a good deal but to watch 23 games with the likes Scunthorpe Rochdale Fleetwood etc maybe not so appealing to many if we were to get relegated
