Just a quick heads-up about New Season Ticket Direct Debits.

My first season ticket Direct Debit was due to go out on the 1st or just after, according to the paperwork. But as the 1st of July is Sunday, I was expecting it to go out on the Monday.

But after checking my bank this morning, I've found it's already gone out

Slightly unexpected, but luckily I had some money to cover it! Phew!

Hopefully, there are no unexpected surprises for any other new season ticket holders. :clap2:

My DD didn't work for 3 months, I had to get the club to cancel and set it up again, now it's working

It depends who you bank with, but its been like that for years.

All my direct debits and credits for 1st July are already on the account now (dated 2nd July).

The banks run the next working days entries late evening/early morning on the previous working day, so your debits will show up now. The same as many people due to be paid on the 1st, will have access to the money now. If you didn't have funds to clear the DD at midnight Friday, and its due on the 1st (Sunday) then you won't funds to clear it on the 2nd, as any direct credits will already have gone in with the debits the night before.

Er, paperwork? Can you tell me about this?- I paid for 2 months at end of may, nothing in went June and no paperwork other than the chit given out at the Amex sales appointment.

As you arranged it after the middle of the month, it would have been too late to have set it up for the first of the following month.

Perhaps you should expect that the balance due will be debited over the '9' months starting 01 July. That is a slightly higher figure than you expect but will come to the same total !

Sounds spot on
