Why would a policeman ask to see a season ticket in a pub
Got no reason not to believe him on this...especially as i'll find out sooner or later what happened. He just said that the OB asked for ID and this didn't match the season ticket name. It was after the match.
Trouble is, he does like a beer after the game and he's a bloody liability when pissed so christ knows what happened. He's not a trouble maker but will go if provoked.
Ill give the club a bell tomorrow.
As I said they were checking all tickets before the game in The Railway Bell before allowing anybody to leave to get the train.
Officially they're non transferable right? Un-officially the club said they would turn a blind eye, as im sure plenty of people doing it!
Seems odd the police were asking for it anyway.... are you sure he wasn't being a naughty boy?
Best bet is just to call the club.

The police were doing the same type of checking at the Railway Bell before the game and Ben had a problem getting out of the pub as they wouldn't let him and my eldest, his uncle, leave until they had shown their identity. The problem was that all though Ben is anti alcohol and just went to meet his uncle he is under 18. They overlooked the fact of his age as they both re=assured the police that he doesn't drink and after showing identity and season ticket allowed both to leave.

You talk as if Albion are your club yet I'm more confused as to why you even have a season ticket and why you spend so much time on here?
That's what happens when you drink in the wrong pub.As I said they were checking all tickets before the game in The Railway Bell before allowing anybody to leave to get the train.
Why? It's not a crime to be holding a friends card, and the police don't have the power to take it from you unless it's been reported stolen. I had 3 season tickets on me on Saturday, and none were mine.So police check ID...he says name that differs from that on the card...police take card ..yep i would agree with that
Sharpish? I was there 'til 9 and it was peaceful. Was there agro later?Well if the Bell after the game was anything to go by it was a den of 'thieves', I am not usually sensitive to these things, but we moved on sharpish, it was brewing up for sure, anybody know if there was any trouble
