You won't change PTV.
Way back, for clubs that didn't have a website, or struggled with what they had, it might have seemed attractive, as it also comes with an income stream derived from PTV's advertising income.
Might have been better than nothing but has never been near as good as it could be.
For this season has been updated, a sort of SP2, looks a bit different, but the rest of the world has been moving on as well, so PTV still lags. Indeed some changes have improved worse. For example the Club forum has all but been destroyed.
The Club is not obliged to take the package, and a number of clubs, small and big, have gone their own way.
Meanwhile, the commentary is carried by the BBC Local Radio (public) service, with some sort of contract with (private) PTV, which mostly results in commentaries not being available through the internet direct from BBC.
Presumably, if PTV are not complying with their part of the contract, to supply the commentary to their (paying) subscribers, then the BBC could be at liberty to make it publicly available? Just a thought!
