There are many different kinds of seagull and many kinds (and sizes) of owl!

I'd back a Herring Gull over a Little Owl or Barn Owl any day, but wouldn't fancy its chances against an Eagle Owl, or a Great Grey Owl...

I think owls would win, they are part of the eagle family and are genetically predisposed to hunt and kill, locked into a deadly pursuit and track their quarry. Seagulls are luddites that rip bags apart and shit on people.

He's technically correct, there are Herring Gulls, Black Backed Gulls etc but there isn't actually a Seagull.

Although everyone, apart from maybe Bill Oddie, would say "Look, a Seagull" or "f***ing Seagull ripped apart my rubbish again the bastard"
