When they say "community stadium" do they mean Alderbrook or have they gone somewhere else?

Only the name has changed (to reflect the fact that a fairly substantial amount of grant money from various sources has gone into upgrading the ground) - it is still in the same place!

Was over in Crowborough last week to see the family and watched my lil nephew George play for Crowborough athletic kids - sadly an 8-0 loss..

Might head over for this - any idea which veterans will be playing?

Will try and find out from my sources as to who is likely to be playing and put it on here. I hoping to get this thread as a "sticky" to publicise the event.

Unfortunately the unbeaten run ended today in the FA cup with a 1 - 5 home defeat at the hands of Staines Town.

Programme at the last cup game said Ian Chapman, Steve Foster and Paul Rogers.

Got any pics of the refurbished ground? Probably been at least 15 years since I was last staggering around Alderbrook with a bottle of Thunderbird Red in my hand and I just can't imagine a shiny new stadium there.

looks pretty good - especially given the standard of the old changing rooms. been built rather quickly as well - only played there in april and the foundations for the clubhouse were just going in then

Hey Arthur, do you think they will be selling pizza at the Crowborough Community Stadium?

I should bloody well hope so. In fact I've bought every seat in the stand to ensure I win the half time pizza lottery!!

Why oh why the Albion don't incorporate this I will never know!! They'd sell out Withdean every week.

Looks a good ground do Crowborough have Ryman League ambitions just like Burgess Hill, and Horsham YMCA who have been promoted to the Ryman League in recent years and established themselves as respectable teams in their divisions?

Yes they do indeed!

(And this season they've already started charging a Ryman League six quid on the turnstyles - although perhaps this is just to keep Mick C in keys to attach to his jeans!)

price hike is not really suprising - they could never have gotten away with charging £6 to get into the old ground
