people used to go along for the 'craic' cos the football was fairly rank, used to be a guy with a guitar who would strike up choons such as 'rave on stirling albion'. great fun..

also they're old ground was called anfield and was a complete dump - however the fans were allowed to swap ends at half time which usually resulted in some good banter.

Having been brought up near Stirling watched Stirling Albion many times between 1984-1999. First ever league game I saw was a 1-0 win v Queen's Park with ex Brighton player Gerry McTeague scoring the winner.

I really liked Annfield, not quite the Goldstone, but at least it had some character unlike most of the souless stadiums we endure these days.
