Hughes had only ever managed Wales.

I'd imagine the argument with international managers is that they've had experience dealing with 'big-name' players, so therefore can handle the Premiership primadonnas (sp.)

As you say though, Sanchez was shit at Wycombe, his previous experience of day-to-day management. At least with Hughes you could claim that you didn't know how it was going to turn out, as he'd never had a club position before...

Hughes seems to be doing a decent job. However I suspect Sanchez is going to be another Bryan Robson or Roeder type manager, that is never succesful, but always seems to get another job.
