One thing you can guarantee, we would have shat ourselves and sat deep all game if it had been us playing. Take the game to a decent team like Hungary did? You are in for a massive disappointment if you think we’ll play like that if we get through our group and end up playing France down the line. Might have been a piss easy run but he still got us to a WC semi final which no one other than Bobby Robson has managed on foreign soil, and guess that was a pretty easy run too.

That’s just factually incorrect. The nations league is a proper recognised international tournament. Not only that but anyone who watched those games could see they weren’t anything like friendly matches. To say otherwise is totally disingenuous. Spain did everything they could to win that game.

You can just discount a new international tournament just because it blows you argument out the water.

I thought they were. Isn't that how North Macedonia found an avenue in ?

Err no it doesnt mate, I said from the beginning I was comparing major championships the euros and WC which are the only true major things worth winning...... you tried to twist in the new friendlies replacement competition that gives minnows a chance to make up numbers in the euros, to give weight to a couple of games in that pretty meaningless competition for major footballing nations.
