How many chances have France missed?

How many chances did England Create?

Who are the current world champions?

Who's got the most points in their group so far?

What’s the France score at the moment?

One thing you can guarantee, we would have shat ourselves and sat deep all game if it had been us playing. Take the game to a decent team like Hungary did? You are in for a massive disappointment if you think we’ll play like that if we get through our group and end up playing France down the line. Hungary deserve massive credit for their bravery and intent, how I’d like to say that about an England performance again, it’s been a long long long time

Might have been a piss easy run but he still got us to a WC semi final which no one other than Bobby Robson has managed on foreign soil, and guess that was a pretty easy run too.

Southgate also beat Spain in Spain in the nations league, he then beat Croatia only a few months after they had reached the World Cup final. Both competitive games.

Interesting how you class Croatia has decent opposition to suit your point about 2018 but will no doubt claim it doesn’t count as beating a decent side in this tournament.

The Croatia team are no mugs, but they are not as strong today as they were in 2018, that's a fact, 3 of their best players have retired.

The England squad now since 2018 is stronger imho the Croatia squad weaker.

The nation's league are effectively new format for friendlies ++, they are not euro/WC qualifiers or proper competive euro/WC competition.

Let's see where we finish in this competition when we face the first decent team in the KO's.

That’s just factually incorrect. The nations league is a proper recognised international tournament. Not only that but anyone who watched those games could see they weren’t anything like friendly matches. To say otherwise is totally disingenuous. Spain did everything they could to win that game.

You can just discount a new international tournament just because it blows you argument out the water.

I thought they were. Isn't that how North Macedonia found an avenue in ?

EDIT: Yes, it's also how Hungary found a path. They were fourth in their qualifying group.

Do we have very special players who can and do control internationals, impossible to get the ball off, creating chances in a second or having the pace to destroy anyone in a second?

No way.

The Italians have the brilliant Immobile, we have the immobile. Kante, Mbappe, Immobile and De Bruyne are light years ahead of our best.
Just watching Portugal v Germany and you can add Germany's version of Sterling, Gnabry, to that list, every time he gets the ball he is a genuine threat.

Err no it doesnt mate, I said from the beginning I was comparing major championships the euros and WC which are the only true major things worth winning...... you tried to twist in the new friendlies replacement competition that gives minnows a chance to make up numbers in the euros, to give weight to a couple of games in that pretty meaningless competition for major footballing nations.
