He's meant to have won his award for his contribution to music wasn't he? Boomtown Rats were crap. He's only succeeded in doing lot's for charity. Very admirable of course, but it shouldn't have counted tonight. John Peel should have won it. He did so much to discover new bands and it would have been a fitting tribute to his memory. His wife could have accepted it.
