our son has gone on to 'big' school this year (and mrs starry is still moping around since he's left home!) and they sent us a bloody list a mile long and said he had to have a laptop with office/powerpoint/and that washed the kitchen sink.

no idea about where you can d/l but we got a good deal in store because his was for education purposes.

I had this problem a couple of years ago and bought a copy of office off ebay for a tenner.

My daugher has been using powerpoint for projects loads of times so a free trial isnt much use, neither is a variation as it might not work at school.

Yeah my girlfriend is a teacher; she uses it at home and uses the presentations at school on Powerpoint no problem.

If you wish to buy it, buy it off the school. They sell it for a discout price becasue they've already paid for the licence of around 100 computers.
