I went down the road this evening, as of often do, to watch tellybox football with my old pal, Bob, the (retired) social worker, lifetime Liverpool fan, saw the Beatles more than 30 times, top bloke, YNWA.

Liverpool vs the Arse, league cup.

"Wonder who you'll get in the next round? Ooops! Your're not in it, are you."

:facepalm:

In the 30 years we've been watching football together, there has never been any rivalry, for obvious reasons.

My response was: ???

The rest, as they say is history.

:rolleyes::cheers:

What can I say?

I told him after the Villa game tonight that it doesn't pay to mock the team I support :shrug:

Seven Two. Seven two. Worst defeat since Billy Liddle was up front :whistle:

Last time Liverpool conceded 7 was two years after Billy Liddell had retired.

But what about before that? ???

Ha! Got you there :rave::rave::rave:

Or have I? ???

At least Man U stuck to the Covid rules and only let 6 in. Naturally the Scousers went one better

Don't know ... yes? No? Maybe?

Do you not have younger relatives who can show you how to Google? :shrug:

Wolves were champions, Liverpool were second division - can't remember further back than that! :)

I never let dreary facts get in the way of a good jape ???

:thumbsup:

Did you go to the cup game at Anfield, 'Arry?
I did, and despite the score, it is perhaps my most enjoyable away game ever.....sung those Scouse gits out the park, their glorious Cathedral of super-loyal, super-knowledgable, "super-fans" outsung even as their goals flew in....So liverpool score to make it 4-1...the chant went up
We're gonna win 5-4, and the mood in that stand never faltered, from kids to grannies, proud of them all that day.
And the missus sat at home thought she was dreaming, couldn't believe it.

Oh, and back on track, I fear for Liverpool this season. Someone stepped on my shadow, uninvited. The Pandorica is open. Already the Scousecovid numbers are through the roof. Next it will be haemorrhoids.

Best I'm off; taxi is here...tara chucks. :kiss:
