One said to me last night before the game, "You lot need a reality check".

Really, WE need a reality check? I really do think they are the most arrogant club around & I really do dislike everything about them.

So, the team that needs the reality check is the one that still won't accept they're in League 1, couldn't fill their "premier league stadium" for a big night game against fellow promotion hopefuls from along the coast.
Oh, & I forgot to add, couldn't beat us!

Wake up you bunch of arrogant pricks.

Bloody noisy lot though. If Falmer has that noise I'll be happy

The ones I met in the pubs beforehand were a decent bunch to be fair

I ended up having to sit with their fans in the main stand and they are a bunch of arrogant gits and all they were going on about is how they shouldn`t be in this shit league and how bad Brighton are.....

I went with two mates who are arrogant pricks but I try to keep them in check. Had a great laugh with their fans through the game and at the end got a slap on the back and good wishes from a number of their fans who thought that they were going to piss the game last night. General feeling was that if we are off form currently then god help the rest of this league when we get back to our best. Of course they think they are going up and I think they are probably right but so are we

Shouldnt tar all fans with the same brush. We are a medium sized club who naturally think this stay in L1 will only last 2 or 3 years at most. Our national position is in the Champs with occasional flirts with the Prem.

Yeah all the saints i chatted with last night were nice enough. Think they see us as a friendly rivalry with Pompey as the big one & Bournemouth as the annoying upstart ankle-biters.

I think the core don't buy into all the billy big balls rubbish & see themselves for what they are. Had a good night down there.

A mate and I judge fans on how long into the game before they start the "does your boyfriend know you're here" song. I wasn't there last night, but my mate was and apparently they started before kick off. Nuff said. Tossers.

To be fair mate 26k was a bloody good attendance for a Tuesday night game in league 1. I don't like to admit that but lets face facts here.

How long do you need to spend in L1 for you to re-evaluate that deluded notion and realise that you are where you are on merit ?

Does it really matter what Southampton fans think ? Like Leeds they feel that they are too good for this league which given their position and their finances they have yet to prove it. Yes they're a very good team but not quite as good as they think. I wouldn't say that all their fans are arrogant but like Leeds they are a bit deluded if they think this league is easy. Apart from Huddersfield Charlton, Colchester and Bournemouth (who may fade thanks to not being able to add to their squad) are to be considered. As for Sheffield Wednesday the jury is still out while they have the threat of non-administration hanging over them. When you factor in the likes of Bristol Rovers and Brentford to name but two who can pull off unexpected results most people would you hope realise that this is still a very open competition. Southampton are but one contender but they are foolish if they think they are nailed on certs.

Pretty sure you all thought that your stay in the Championship was just going to be one season, let alone League 1!!!
