If they can wait another five seasons before getting relegated they'll have the foundations of a very cool new stand

The Eagles didn't lose 5 - 0 to the Albion on their own pitch.

While driving to Denmark Hill last year to see my daughter in hospital my partner and I had a good laugh while driving past Selhurst (following satnav). Driving just past the ground and waiting for some bloke dressed in Palace shirt crossing the road and my partner said "he don't look the full ticket does he". My reply was a simple "not surprised, he's got a Palace top on". Made us both giggle for a while🙂

say something nice about Palace! mmmm, let me think …. Ah! got it. When you come away from their ground, get home, wash, bathe and shower, you do feel much cleaner

Not in Whitechapel
When their fans pelted us with coins after we beat them 1-0 in the McShane game I was able to buy a shit load of football stickers the next day.

God bless my mum for taking an 11 year old to Palace away back then*. God bless her x2 for being the angriest I’ve ever seen her when a steward grabbed me and tried to drag me away for giving the home fans the middle finger as they were leaving. She (quite aggressively) claimed I was saying 1-0 :lolol:

*not sure she’d have done it if she realised our seats were right on the edge of the away fans next to the Homesdale.**

**She took me to the 5-0 game when I was even younger so she probably would have.

Bearing in mind one of our own lost an eye due to a coin throwing incident at an England match I’m treading carefully, however

The coin fight of Boxing Day 1979 was incredible, the noise as coins bounced of either the double layer of fences or the roof of the North Stand was unforgettable and the amount of coins laying on the terrace while most of the elders were simply reaching in their pockets was incredible. As a 12 year old myself and others my age took no shame in scooping up several coins including many 50p’s (bear in mind that was the price of an under 16s admission) meanwhile the coins rained down. The police, as were present at the time just looking on powerless.

It always makes me a smile when I see their collection of four random cow-sheds that they call a Premier League ground...

50p was a LOT of money to kids our age back then. Throwing coins was the stuff of lunatics. Throwing 50p pieces the stuff of a lunatic who probably needed to do some overtime the following week.

Back then loons through darts and bricks too. Strange times.

I had 3 Palace fans as customers this morning ( and, 3 dirty Leeds fans)

To be fair, they were all good lads.

Although one of them was such a big Palace supporter, he didn’t know they were in the Mickey Mouse Cup quarter finals on Wednesday until I told him.
