If it does get a second series they'll hopefully learn from the first and realise that to call it 'comedy' it actually has to make you laugh. CM recommends you get some actual laughs from one of the following contemporary series instead:

Black Books
Peep Show

I've been watching the reruns of Saxondale and finding it quite an amusing half hour's entertainment - not laugh out loud funny but amusing nevertheless.

I also watched a rerun of Little Britain last night - apart from one or two moments it was kack - the most overrated show in British TV history.
