When they get around to demolishing the carbuncle that is New England House, the Fire Station could be relocated in the new build plan. Partly funded by the developer?
I agree, also I can drive (with no traffic)(guess they would have blues and two's goin) from Roedean - Montpelier Road/Kings Road in 4-5 mins, also From PC world in Hove to Montpelier in 5-6 mins, a new larger fire station located in say Hollingbury will cover down to say Preston circus including the suburbs and of course be able to back up mid sussex far quicker, just a thought though.

Yeah, possibly, I can certainly live with that - especially as it would mean losing the worst eyesore in Brighton. Although it's still not quite as good a location as Preson Circus where the appliances can come out and straight away they've got access to the major roads north south east or west. I appreciate that we're probably only talking about a delay of an extra minute or so, - but that's quite a lot if you're on fire!

Its not possible to come down on one side or the other until we've heard both sides.

Has anyone got the Fire Brigade's side on this? There must be capacity and training issues for a start that I guess Preston Circus might fall down on.

People probably said similar about the Royal Alex with all its emotional baggage, but now look at what a tremendous facility the kids of Brighton have following the relocation.
