Sky sports transfer rumours have one of Oldham looking to replace Chris Porter with Bas Savage and wait for it... Maheta Molango. How exactly would that help them go for promotion?

oh well. at least we would get a fee for savage but malongo........surely someone's idea of a joke - he couldn't even get into a non-league team

Savage wouldnt be a loss, Elder is the better prospect. Molango though, got rid of by Grays. God knows what they see in him, but then again, he has this knack of turning it on when he realises a job is on offer.

Wouldn't give a toss if Bas left. Nathan Elder with a pre-season behind him and getting the goal against Cheltenham, the lad will be chomping at the bit. Surely Wendy must realise he is much more of a threat in front of goal than Savage, Gatting, Robinson in the long term !!

Why would people want to see Baz go?

I like him and I want him to stay

We wouldn't get much of a fee. He is only contracted until Xmas, so he would either leave on a free then or we would get a minimal sum.

Personally, I would love to see him stay. He may not be the best of strikers to grace the turf of Withdean, but he gave me some enjoyment in a difficult season. That is what it is all about, ne c'est pas?

His goals at Northampton were my highlight of the season...and err, last season...and quite possibly the one before!

Big Bad Comedy Bas lives in Sarf Lunnun. Why on earth would he want to go to Oldham? And why would they be DaftFuck enough to want to sign Molango? I mean, why not go the whole hog and give Turienzo a contract?

If there's even a grain of truth in any of it, just goes further to dispel the urban myth that football managers know better than football fans. they don't. Fact.
