It's all down to money and the Saudi's know this. It's Football manager to them with a cheat engine and they can change the amount of money they have at will.

Yes, but many still do it for the glory BECAUSE they don't earn more money.
We'll have to agree to disagree. I see them as no different other than the financial reward isn't as great for them as it is for footballers. Take rugby, how many players have left to play in France for more money despite knowing the RFU had a policy of not picking overseas players for the England squad?

As obscene as some of the amounts earned by footballers are, there are many that redistribute that wealth back in their own countries. Ronaldo reputedly invests a lot in his homeland of Madeira. Many African footballers send vast sums back to their families. Drogba donated millions to help build a hospital. (that said, they still live the life of Riley).
