No disrespect to our lads but I think Arsenal's kids are of a higher standard than ours. All these players in their reserves pushing for a place on the bench are desperate for first team experience.. Gibbs, Barazite..

I agree, but our problem is that because the team are so young, they are inconsistent.

The youngsters here are on their day good enough to beat any division 3 team, but because they are so inconsistent, we get one good performance where they all click at the same time about every 6 weeks,

So the same problem will happen with kids from the premiership, except when it does click, it will look better than it does with our own home growns, but inconsistency will still be an issue.


Most of Arsenals kids have already gone out to places like Burnley

Not quite "anti-wilkins" but didn't really agree with his appointment.

My thoughts are that he is a decent signing, sadly 3 days too late (or two weeks too late when we should have taken him on loan in January) we have needed a winger for weeks. Better late than never though.

For starters - I dont class myself or tar myself with a label of being anti Wilkins....I'm just a fan who is concerned about our performances and league placing and that unfortuantely is at the managers feet to deal with and hopefully we can show this division over the coming weeks that we are a force in this division & shut me and others up who do have a whinge that there not happy.

A fit Dean Bowditch is a very good player, we know that and so do ipswich. He will make a difference to the squad. Not quite sure where we will play him and who will lose out...but thats down to wilkins.

Wilkins is lacking in one very important point CASH,he was appointed as a cheap option but has done well considering how little money has been provided and that of cause is Knights fault he does not the finances required which has resulted in our present state.

You dont think Wilkins pushed for the Chairman to pay £300,000 on one player when the Chairman wouldnt sanction an increase of say a £20,000 a year on players that Wilkins really wanted to stay.

Who knows how Murray will pan out, but it was Lloyds initiative, pushed through eagerly by Knight paid for by Tony Bloom.

Wilkins is happy to have him but this was not Wilkins deal, Wilkins wanted Hammond, Savage, O'Callaghan and maybe a couple of more signings in January.
