The problem is that he (and others) see the attacking midfield role as his best position, but he's been doing poorly in that position for weeks. Which is why either Hannibal (who played very well against Oxford) or the three Josh combo, Cullen-Brownhill-Laurent, have been getting the gig.

He might do better back on the wing, where Foster has been playing (when it wasn't Hannibal). But now we've signed Edwards from Sporting Lisbon, he won't get much time there.
Edwards is a great signing.
Do you think Jeremy has enough to step up next year? He’s a lovely player. A real football lovers footballer. Lovely balance and poise. Has the odd worldie in his locker. I want him to succeed so much here but I suspect he simply isn’t quite good enough.

At least it looks like Sarmiento may have consecutive Championship promotions on his CV, so if we do get rid we may get a decent price from someone in the 25/26 Championship with parachute cash, i.e. Southampton, who will be short in that position if Dibling goes and Lallana retires at the end of his 1 season contract.
