SHOREHAM BY SEA
….should the traffic warden have used his discretion or was Santa really naughty

'Fuming' Santa given parking ticket for sleigh as he handed out presents to kids

Mick Worrall refuses to cough up and pay the ticket, telling the warden to 'post it to the North Pole' after the Father Christmas, 75, was handing out gifts and collecting for charity in Worcester
A steaming Santa has slammed a Scrooge traffic warden who handed him a ticket for 'driving' his sleigh in a pedestrian zone as he gave out Christmas gifts to kids.

Mick Worrall, 75, was wearing his red and white outfit when he parked his three-wheeler bike, which pulls the sleigh, in Worcester city
centre.

He was dishing out sweets and teddies to youngsters and collecting donations for a children's charity when he was hit with a fixed penalty notice on Saturday.

Pictures show the warden issue Mick with a £60 fine outside the city's Guildhall in the High Street.

Cheeky Mick, of Worcester, refused to cough up and even told the warden to "post it to the North Pole".

No sympathy from me.

A bike-riding Santa, making Dasher and all his mates redundant? Clearly no regard for their job security - deserves the full arm of the Law.

Save Santa’s Reindeer! Save Santa’s Reindeer!

Difficult because it looks like other traders are there who have paid good money to put up a chalet. Then along comes Santa with his motorbike and trailer for free. Where do you stop it all? Perhaps permitting Santa a licence to trade with conditions of no selling. But if you allow one then suddenly everyone will want to park their bikes up for free.
Got a feeling it will just disappear as these things do.

If you read the story, he has done for quite a while now. Last year the police even posed for a photo with him, so they weren't worried about him parking.
The warden is a jobsworth.

A bus got a parking ticket for stopping to pick up passengers!
