Wasn't there yesterday but the failure to use Sandaza more is a bit of a mystery this season. I don't think he will be here next!

No it's not. He has been injured for a fair bit of his time here and Murray and Barnes have both done well this season. When he has been given a chance, he hasn't exactly set the world alight and now Wood has come in and done really well too. Not the biggest mystery ever. I thought he did okay yesterday but he is fourth choice striker and rightly so at the moment.

Compared to Wood Murray and Barnes he appears to be very lightweight and gets bundled off of the ball very easily. Didnt think he was that good yesterday, he was OK but dont lets get carried away, but he did his cause no harm and is a vast improvement on Holroyd.

Not yet another saddo with barnes issues...

PS thought sandaza did ok

NSC Rule = If somebody starts a reasonable thread that is positive about a player, somebody else has to make a bitchy dig about another player to balance things.

Agree that we should have replaced Big Chris with FranSan rather than Battipiedi.

Not saying he should start, but given the fact he has a pretty good scoring record I find it a little odd that, when fit, he hasn't been given more time on the pitch to show what he can do.

1. I'm not a 'saddo'

2. I'm a fan of Barnes, Young striker and has done extremely well for us.

3. I'm also a fan of Sandaza.

I was stating that if Sandaza had all the chances Barnes has had this season I reckon he would've taken them.

What was your point?? Sandaza plays down the middle doesnt drop deep and link play doesnt go down wing. So its got to be Murray or Sandaza.

Barnes is the link play man, he cant be the presence down the middle GM can. He gets chances because hes smart and brave - i.e. smart to break offside traps and brave to make runs into key areas, but he also creates goals. Whereas Sandaza only really exists in the penalty box.....!

I think he should always be on bench and has a key role as a sub - how many goals has he scored already??/

Ps As a 21 year old, if he goes on the fans site and sees the amount of ignorant stuff posted about him, lets hope he has more intelligence and balls than the posters, the fact he seems to be the only one who can take a penalty suggests he has.....

Let's be honest here. If he couldn't take a bit of criticism, he wouldn't be a professional footballer! I think he plays a very good role as a sub, he brings in that little extra burst of pace in the second half of a game and I think that's a role he fits into really well. Perhaps Gus feels his general fitness isn't quite good enough yet to keep up that pace for a full 90 every week?
